Biennial 2017

With Biennial 2017 a recent memory and Biennial 2019 two years away (December 11-15, 2019 to be exact). I thought it appropriate to share some of the great quotes from this past year's Biennial experience that our delegation walked away with:

"Be the light"

"Continue persisting"

"I never thought we would need a modifier for the word "fact""

"Rededication, empowerment and resilience, joy, social Justice, adding light, family, community, pride"

"Join us as we continue to work for... Gun Violence Prevention, Economic Justice, Immigration reform, Refugees, Health Care, LGBQT Rights, Religious Liberty, Women's Rights, the Environment, Criminal Justice Reform... and more."

"Our children are not our future... They are out present"

"Let's partner to give more youth the gift of a vibrant Judaism, one that resonated for them"

"If we don't do this work of social justice, God may forgive us, but history will not"

These are just some of the takeaways from this past weekend. It is truly a unique experience to attend Biennial and I hope you will join me in 2019.

Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Micah
