Preschool Celebrates Israel's 60th

The Pre-School program on Wednesday, Feb. 6th celebrated Israel's 60th Birthday. The tables were all decorated with help from our seventh grade bar mitzvah class. The program started with Rabbi Silver singing with the children, their parents and grandparents. Jane Kessler read the story My Cousin Tamar Lives in Israel. Then it was time to decorate a birthday cake for Israel. After that, the kids and their parents were invited to play a game with the parachute. Eileen Geffin, Education Chairperson, provided the directions for this game. It was so much fun that even the Mothers took turns running under the parachute. Finally, several children helped fold up the parachute.
