“JEWS IN MAGIC”

PRESENTED BY  MANNY SPERLING

Manny Sperling

A 90 minute journey of mystery and wonder combining magic and multimedia to illustrate the history and contributions Jewish magicians have made to art and magic.

Jews have distinguished themselves as composers, writers, philosophers and scientists for centuries.  It may surprise you to learn however, that Jews have also been forerunners in the field of magic.  Their contributions to the art have been legendary.

Master magician Manny Sperling has been fascinated with the magic of such celebrated Jewish magicians as Houdini, David Copperfield and David Blaine.  This stimulated him to research the backgrounds and performances of these and other Jewish magicians.

His research took on a life of its own and became the impetus for his “Jews in Magic” creation.  In his program, Mr. Sperling traces the history of Jewish performers from the 1700s to today and recreates some of  their illusions.

Take this adventure and be awed by a unique, innovative, musical and educational program of magical entertainment!
